Work location:  Hinkley Point C – Bridgwater, Somerset 

Hours: Full time on site (10/4 Rotation)
Salary: £64,314.13 (Based on 38 hour week)

The role:


The Construction Supervisor of will ensure assigned site and project works are planned and delivered in line with QHSE requirements and with agreed contractual obligations and expectations with the intention to create a positive and collaborative client relationship.


What you will be doing:


•    Coordination and supervision of workers
•    Organise the equipment and manpower necessary to complete the project 
•    Take Responsibility for maintaining health, safety and quality standards
•    Detail records of construction site activities
•    Ensure no work is carried out without confirming that means will be in place to guarantee that the work can be done in a safe and compliant manner
•    Support with with the contents of the HSE Plan to ensure that they are fully complied with
•    Attend HSE training, meetings, etc. as requested
•    Attend, participate in and periodically lead Toolbox Talks
•    Ensure that workers have undergone sufficient HSE training to comply with the project HSE training requirements and be able to carry out all works safely
•    Ensure that tools, equipment and materials brought into and used in the area are fully compliant with HSE requirements. 
•    Ensure that no work is carried out unless supported by the relevant specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Work Permits. 
•    Participate in Risk Assessments. 
•    Carry out periodic HSE inspections in the area. 


What we are looking for:


•    Experience of supervising site activities and subcontractors 
•    Experience of managing site teams
•    Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations in particular Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
•    Experience in fabrication of Stainless-steel equipment
•    Experience in highly regulated industries
•    Experience in Nuclear 
•    Good understanding of welding, fabrication & mechanical processes
•    Demonstrably proactive, self-driven and assertive. 
•    High levels of influence and strong leadership capability. 
•    External Client Management
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills
•    SMSTS (Site Manager Safety Training Scheme) (essential) 
•    CSCS Supervisor (essential)
•    IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
•    NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision (desirable)
•    City and Guilds in Engineering (desirable)
•    First Aid training (desirable)
