Summary of Role    


We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Common Building Services (CBS) team at Hinkley Point C. This role supports the delivery of temporary electrical installations, adaptations, modifications, and maintenance activities across the project site.


Working closely with the Project Manager and wider CBS delivery team, you will play a key role in coordinating works, supporting project delivery, managing interfaces with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that safety, quality, and schedule requirements are met across all work scopes.

Key Deliverables:     


•    Delivery of project milestones in line with agreed schedules.
•    Accurate and timely project reporting and documentation.
•    Effective coordination and communication across CBS and supporting teams.
•    Demonstrated adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
•    Proactive contribution to issue resolution and risk management.


Accountabilities:     


•    Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and delivery of temporary electrical works within the CBS scope.
•    Assist in managing project delivery to time, cost, and quality requirements.
•    Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless delivery of temporary installations.
•    Maintain accurate project documentation including schedules, progress reports, and risk registers.
•    Support procurement and logistics coordination for temporary works materials and services.
•    Contribute to stakeholder meetings and progress reviews.
•    Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
•    Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with Dalkia, HPC, and regulatory standards.


Essential Qualifications     


•    Strong general level of education with a technical background (electrical or mechanical discipline preferred).
•    Demonstrable experience supporting engineering or construction projects, ideally within a large-scale environment.
•    Working knowledge of project management processes and tools.
•    Excellent organisational and communication skills.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Project.


Desirable qualifications and Experience:     


•    Experience working on major projects or within a highly regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, energy, utilities, or infrastructure).
•    Relevant electrical or construction qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent).
•    Understanding of temporary works processes and site-based operations.
•    Previous experience supporting multi-disciplinary teams within complex project environments.
