 Lead Quality Engineer

Accountabilities:    
1.    Support the development of quality (QA/QC) arrangements for deployment across the MEHA organisation for the HK8010 contract scope.
2.    Ensure the implementation of quality (QA/QC) arrangements across the MEHA organisation for the HK8010 contract designated scope of work.
3.    Act as single point of contact (SPoC) for quality function in assigned area / scope of work
4.    Support the compilation and review of End of Erection Status (EESR)reports and associated records
5.    Manage installation surveillance / inspection activities in assigned area / scope of work
6.    Management of Non-Conformances in assigned area / scope of work
7.    Undertake actions to resolve issues relating to the implementation of quality and to bring about improvements, and support others in these actions.

 

 

Key Deliverables:    
1.    Monitor implementation and effectiveness of quality activities in assigned area / scope of work
2.    Produce quality partitioning strategy for assigned area / scope of work
3.    Review and approve inspection and test plans in assigned area / scope of work
4.    Review and comment (Approve?) on EESR’s produced in assigned area / scope of work, 
5.    Report on quality status in assigned area / scope of work
8.    Represent the quality function as single point of contact (SPoC) at various meetings for the assigned area / scope of work

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 
(in line with MEH Onboarding matrix)

1.    A recognised qualification in a relevant science or engineering subject, or equivalent qualification in a mechanical, electrical, or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) discipline
2.    Broad experience of implementing a variety of quality related solutions on large projects
3.    Proven track record of delivering results to tight timescales and evolving scope
4.    Leadership experience working in a QA / QC environment within the nuclear industry or other highly regulated industry.
5.    Proven experience of interaction and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment and multi discipline team


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:    
1.    Hold a professional accreditation in suitable discipline
2.    Corporate Member or working towards membership of the Chartered Quality Institute & Chartered Quality Professional
3.    Commercial exposure and experience of contract management arrangements (Preferably NEC 4)

 

 

 

Area/Building    
Base location is Hinkley Point ‘C’ Nuclear New Build construction site, Somerset.
