Area Operations Controller (AOC) – Hinkley Point C
Scope of role Employed on our Hinkley Point C contract in Somerset, the AOC is integral to the success of this busy security team.
Their primary focus is to schedule all staff to work over varying shift patterns using company IT & software. Pay, HR, KPI reporting and General Administration functions will require the successful candidate to have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to adapt in an ever changing environment. Very strong IT skills are essential.
The role operates within the contracts Operational Support Team and you will work closely with the Operations Managers and Directors to ensure
consistency and daily operational management as the contract matures.
Location: EDF Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build, Wickmore Drove, Nr Bridgwater, Somerset, TA5 1UF
Pay: £19.96 per hour
Weekly Hours: 45 hours per week, based on Monday to Friday. This can be altered on occasions to meet the needs of the business and the Client.
Early starts (06:00am) with the expectation to be flexible for later start time if operationally required.
Potential for 48 hours per week depending on candidate

Key Responsibilities
- Administration of the team shifts Rota using company IT & Software.
- Assist in supervising that manning levels are met for all duties and ad-hoc requirements.
- Administration of sickness and other absences inline with company policies
- Assistance in disciplinary matters, note taking.
- Administration of contractual compliance, providing data to evidence KPI compliance as required.
- Calculation of site specific benefits including payroll checks
- Adhering to and improving administration processes and procedures
- Maintenance and updates of Project plans and trackers
- Supporting the Operations Support team and wider project team with ad hoc projects as required.
- Coordination of mailbox and prioritising replies
- General Administration support.

- Strong interpersonal skills – building trust and support
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- Competent IT skills, proficient in Google Suite
- Adherence to company policies & operating procedures
Educational Requirements/Qualifications
- Proficient in Maths, English and IT.
Preferred Experience
- Experience of working within a busy office environment
- HR, Sickness and Absence Management knowledge
- Knowledge of employee Investigations and Disciplinary hearings in the Commercial Sector

- Identifying customer needs during service delivery
