We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic people to join our experienced Engineering teams in Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Bridgwater, Sizewell and Staines

 Work can be across the UK for some of the contracting roles and can involve lodging but will be recruiting for the areas stated

 

You will:

  • Train locally at college either block or day release supported by JTL a recognised training provider
  • Learn about our award winning approach to working safely and wellbeing
  • Work indoors, outdoors, some work will be at height and sometimes in confined spaces
  • Need to be prepared for early starts and travel away from home when necessary
  • Develop great working relationships with some of the industry’s most talented people
  • Have a strong support network giving you the chance to build your confidence and skills

 

You will learn to:

  • Install electrical services to complete a variety of buildings and external services.
  • Lay, pull and string cables.
  • Install the systems needed for wiring and cables such as brackets and containment
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, wiring and circuit diagrams.
  • Inspect and test electrical installations
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on a range of circuits and equipment
  • Use small hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers etc.
  • Operate electrical tools.

You will attend college to complete Level 3 Electrotechnical Apprenticeship and regularly attend in house training and development as part of the 4-year programme.

We are opening our recruitment now until 30th April you will then be contacted, if shortlisted, to attend a telephone interview , then attend a face to face interview with the local teams, where you will deliver a presentation on something you are passionate about, then if successful join our team in September/October where you will take part in a UK wide induction and innovative team day when you will meet the UK wide full team.
