Appointed Person Rigger

Key functions
•    To deliver a safe and quality job OTIF (On Time in Full) on every occasion.
•    Uphold Client and Company Core values.

 

 

 

Main Activities 
(main day-to-day activities and the outputs of the role the individual is expected to deliver)

•    Responsible for the planning and execution of lifting operations on site
•    Construct safe systems of work by writing Lift Plans which include Method Statements, Risk Assessments using given information and be able to produce, understand and implement AutoCAD drawings for Lifting purposes.
•    Plan and execute the Lift Plan requirements in line with Altrad and Client procedures
•    To ascertain job requirements from drawings or other specifications.
•    Explain in detail the work to be carried out to the work group and lift supervisor. (Delegation of duties)
•    Have crane appreciation, can direct the crane with hand signals and back to back radios.
•    Have knowledge of LOLER and British Standard 7121.
•    Prepare an area for lifting with exclusion zones.
•    Controls vehicle movements to and from the jobsite.
•    Adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment.
•    Coordinate third party crane activities


Qualifications / Experience 
•    CPCS A61 Blue Card holder
•    ECITB's Moving Loads.
•    IOSH Managing Safely
•    Trained to NVQ 5  
•    Considerable site experience on a Petro Chemical Site or similar establishment
•    Lift Supervisor training would be advantageous

  • Hourly Rate: £27.12ph
  •  Weekly Working Hours & OT
  • Mon to Thursday 0700 – 1700. 40 min break.  
  • O/T at x1.4 Fridays and Sat < Midday, and x1.8 thereafter.

 
 
ECSA ACCOMODATION ALLOWANCE 2024     
effective from 9 January 2023    
Daily rate    £48.16
