A&F Haulage are a well-established family run nationwide haulage company, with depots covering all parts of the UK. We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Class C driver to join our team driving a modern aggregate tipper (although current fleet is only a couple of years old, it is being replaced, and we have a brand new, straight from the manufacturer, fleet arriving in September). You will be based from our depot in Pesthouse Ln, Barham, Ipswich IP6. The site is easily accessible, and only a few minutes from the A14 with on-site parking available for whilst you are out on the road.

The ideal candidate will:

 

  • Possess a can-do attitude to work
  • Have good understanding of tachograph and WTD regulations
  • Be geographically knowledgeable
  • Have at least 2 years Commercial driving experience
  • Have tipper experience and card (MPQC - although not essential)
  • Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on the road and on customers sites
  • Ensure they abide by all mandatory requirements such as daily vehicle checks to ensure their vehicle is safe and roadworthy
  • Follow all company and customers site procedures
  • As a representative of the company, drive in a defensive and courteous manner at all times, adhering to the Highway Code
  • Possess excellent customer facing and communicational skills (verbal and written English and Numeracy)
  • Have excellent time-keeping skills
  • Have attention to detail to be able to fill out necessary paperwork efficiently and correctly

 

Applicants must hold a valid CPC card, Digi tacho card and ideally at least 2 years of HGV driving experience.

 

Drivers must hold no more than 6 points on their licence, and due to the role, applicants with DR, DD and IN offences will not be considered for this role.
