Principal Accountabilities

 


1. Change Management Process and Governance
Support the Baseline & Change Manager in ensuring the change management process and governance are correctly and effectively utilised.
Provide assistance to the Baseline & Change Manager with the development and implementation of the Change Management Strategy, including facilitating the Change Committee within Sizewell C.
Provide ongoing support to ensure the change process aligns with the programme's objectives and governance framework.


2. Baseline Management
Support the Baseline & Change Manager with the strategy, plan, and procedures for effective baseline management across the programme.
Assist in coordinating change inputs from various areas, including project and PMO inputs (e.g., Schedule, Cost & Risk), to facilitate end-to-end management of changes to the baseline, contracts, and the wider programme in line with the change process.
Ensure all baseline changes are properly tracked, integrated, and communicated across the project.


3. Governance and Reporting
Assist in ensuring the change governance process is completed in line with the reporting cycle.
Support the consistent application of project controls processes across Sizewell C (SZC) and address any non-compliances.
Assist with the production of monthly Baseline & Change reports to provide clear insights into programme performance.
Assemble and validate all change management reports, ensuring they accurately reflect performance and decision-making outcomes.


4. Stakeholder Support and Collaboration
Assist Project Managers and Change Owners in understanding and applying the policies, procedures, and standards required for effective change control.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the programme is identifying, assessing, and implementing changes effectively.
Provide advisory support to delivery teams to enhance their understanding of the change process and improve compliance with governance requirements.


5. Quality Assurance and Decision Support
Challenge and assure the quality of change deliverables submitted into the change process, ensuring they are fully assessed for scope, schedule, cost, and risk impacts.
Validate that all impacts on other areas are adequately assessed to support decision-making processes.
Assist in monitoring and reviewing the quality of change proposals submitted against the baseline, ensuring alignment with programme objectives.


6. Committee Facilitation and Governance Bodies
Support the Baseline & Change Manager with preparations for Change Committee meetings (typically held monthly) to ensure decisions are well-informed.
Provide support to relevant governance bodies, enabling them to perform their functions efficiently and effectively.


7. System Implementation and Validation
Validate that approved changes are implemented in SZC systems to enable accurate reporting against performance metrics.
Ensure all changes are integrated into systems to maintain programme-wide consistency and data accuracy.


8. Training and Capability Development
Provide training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on change management procedures and tools.


Knowledge & Skills


Professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the Programme, Project, Controls, or Commercial Management disciplines
Knowledge of project structures e.g., Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) & Cost breakdown Structures (CBS)
Knowledge of change control and understanding of governance
Ability to work in a team as well as on their own initiative
Skilled at interfacing and operating in a large corporate environment
Ability to manage conflicting priorities


Qualifications & Experience


Essential
Educated to at least degree level, or equivalent training and experience.


Desirable
Practical working knowledge of Project Control processes and tools
Experience with a range of Project/ Programme management software packages workflows of communications between contractor and client.
Experience and understanding of change control principles and experience of managing, controlling and governing change against a defined baseline on a major infrastructure Programme/ Project.
