CFSI (Quality) Manager

Principal Accountabilities
General
• Support the development of and implementation of the Sizewell C CFSI Strategy
• Implement key quality arrangements related to the following topics:
o Manage Quality Execution
o Support Technical Assessment of Suppliers
o Create information to report on the performance of suppliers
o Identify where support is required in the supply chain and provide this support
• Undertake actions to resolve issues relating to the implementation of quality and to bring about improvements and support others in these actions.
• The post could develop and manage a team of Quality Engineers, focused on the management and support of CFSI Mitigation
• Line management of direct reports (Quality Engineers)
• The post reports to the Head of Supplier Quality
Primary accountability
• Implementation and support of the maintenance of quality management arrangements for deployment across the SZC delivery organisation in accordance with the Quality Strategy and based on nuclear industry and major project best practice.
•Support the development of CFSI arrangements for deployment across SZC
• Coach and train SZC quality & Supplier Teams in CFSI
• Conduct CFSI Assessments with Suppliers
• Investigate and report on potential CFSI issues
• Lead or support the resolution of confirmed CFSI
• Share learning & good practices across the supply chain and other stakeholders,
• Provide regular CFSI reporting to Internal Stakeholders
• Maintenance of CFSI related information and data on SZC platforms
• Recruiting, appointing and managing the Quality Engineers, including their professional development.
Qualifications
• HNC/HND qualification or Degree in a relevant science or engineering subject, or equivalent.
• Experience in the application of IAEA, GSR Pt 2. ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001 and/or ISO 19443 standard in a multi-disciplinary project environment
Experience
• Proven leadership experience working in a quality assurance/control environment within the nuclear industry or other relevant safety critical industry.
• Proven experience of interaction and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment within major projects, manufacturing or large organisations.
• Experienced in the analysis of data, preparing reports and making recommendations.
• The ability to effectively implement quality management arrangements.
• Experience in leading and managing a team of Quality professionals, with the ability to motivate and manage their performance.
• The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Pro-active and flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative across a broad range of issues to drive performance against all dimensions of the quality systems.
•Good understanding of the risks and impact of CFSI in complex manufacturing supply chains
• Demonstrable experience in Continuous Improvement with a sound knowledge of manufacturing improvement techniques
• The ability to influence and to provide constructive challenge which is accepted by others
• Able to support and implement practical solutions, whilst remaining open to the ideas of others
• Confident and articulate communicator, able to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, able to speak and present material to a large audience
• Able to interface between project teams and with supply chain organisations
• Fluent in English language
• Proficient in - MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work effectively and consistently with Office 365 SharePoint and Teams collaboration platforms
• Ability to speak French
