Job Responsibilities
 

End‑to‑End Procurement: Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from early supplier engagement and sourcing strategy through to tendering, award and supplier management, ensuring best‑value outcomes.


Sourcing & Tendering: Conduct market research and run RFIs, RFQs and ITTs using e‑procurement systems (e.g. Jaggaer), carrying out tender evaluations and making award recommendations based on total cost of ownership.


Supplier & Category Management: Build and manage supplier relationships, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across key categories.


Commercial & Operational Support: Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with governance, quality and project requirements, while 
supporting fast‑paced delivery with short lead times.


Market Insight & Sustainability: Monitor supply markets to identify risks, opportunities and innovation, while supporting sustainability, environmental, ED&I and Zero Harm objectives across the supply chain.


Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project, technical and operational teams to understand requirements and deliver a responsive, value‑adding procurement service.


Qualifications 


Studying towards CIPS or a willingness to undertake CIPS (or equivalent) qualifications would be an advantage, but is not essential.


Experience 


Essential


Experience across the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, tendering and supplier management
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills, with confidence reviewing quotes and cost data
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Proactive, solution‑focused mindset with the ability to identify improvements and add value
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills


Desirable


Experience within construction, civils or engineering supply chains
Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP or Jaggaer
