PDMS Designer

Main Duties:


Install and manage PDMS bases after HO1 instruction to ensure data integrity, compliance with operating procedures and accuracy of data transfers.
Install and manage PDMS catalogues after RD delivery to identify shortfalls and proactively ensure they are resolved to minimise designer downtime.
Create, manage and test user accounts and access for design team to maintain control, quality and security.
Control of licensing to minimise costs and maximise efficiency.
Control of issues relating to software and direct/manage resources to minimise downtime and reach a resolution in as short a period of time as possible.
Build relationships with all stakeholders including, but not limited to, Aveva, client, design team, project team, etc. to ensure effective communication and understanding of project activities.
Support the client's PDMS team to best facilitate updates/model transfers across multiple sites.
Develop an understanding of BPE software and support the usage of it to ensure consistent output in line with BPE quality standards.
Proactively work with the team providing positive input and support with ongoing project activities and ad hoc requirements
Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance team working approaches to ensure continuous improvement and efficiencies are achieved
Continually update knowledge and understanding to maintain CPD.
General and technical background expected:
Experience in piping design for nuclear power plant on PDMS
Experience in pipe manufacturing
Experience in IT functions relating to software maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution processes
Experience on a construction site or operational plant would be a plus
Experience working in a multicultural environment
Administration PDMS/ design/ execution design knowledge for an industrial project, in particular for nuclear piping systems
Knowledge of 2D and 3D design software rules and requirements
Good organisational, writing and oral expression skills are essential for the realisation of the activities of document production, steering and interfaces with the various correspondents
Autonomy while comfortable working as part of an MDT (multi-disciplinary team), ability to anticipate difficulties and able to balance conflicting priorities
Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure and to meet commitments and deadlines
