The Opportunity


EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR‑E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project.


In this role, you’ll work closely with senior leaders and HR specialists to deliver innovative people strategies that enable organisational success. Acting as a strategic partner, you’ll influence decision-making, champion change, and ensure our workforce is equipped for the future.


You will also work in close partnership with the EDF Corporate Function specialists, Centres of Excellence, Business Unit specialists and Employee Services organisation, acting as the intelligent customer for the business in the development and delivery of EDF Energy’s people related strategies, plans and policies, whilst also developing approaches which are suitable for EPR-E including those from other shareholders and alliance organisations including EDF France.  In this role, you will partner with all of the employees and employing entities across EPR-E.

What You’ll Be Doing


You’ll be the go-to HR partner for your client groups, providing end-to-end support across all aspects of people management. From shaping workforce plans to guiding organisational change, you’ll help leaders make informed decisions that drive performance and engagement.


Your role will involve coaching managers, supporting talent development, and ensuring succession planning aligns with future business needs. You’ll also lead on employee relations, reward processes, and have a key role in driving forward diversity initiatives, creating a positive and inclusive environment for all.


Collaboration is key – you’ll work closely with HR colleagues, recruitment teams, and EDF Group specialists and other employing entities to deliver joined-up solutions that meet strategic objectives while maintaining compliance and fairness.


Who You Are


You’re an experienced HR professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys influencing at all levels. With strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, you can build trust and challenge constructively to achieve the best outcomes.


You’ll bring a solid understanding of employment law and HR best practice, alongside expertise in areas such as performance management, talent development, and organisational change. Resilient and results-driven, you combine creativity with pragmatism to deliver solutions at pace.


Ideally, you’ll hold or be working towards CIPD membership and have proven experience partnering with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential.
