This is your chance to make a real impact on the future of clean energy, while working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. As Electrical Contract Engineer Lead, you’ll manage supplier relationships, oversee contract changes, and resolve technical issues that arise during site activities. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things electrical, ensuring clarity, compliance, and collaboration across teams.

That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the primary technical contact for all matters related to the low voltage switchboard contract, supporting the client with issue resolution and ensuring supplier performance aligns with project expectations. Your role will involve managing contract execution, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and cost, and coordinating technical documentation reviews with internal experts.

You’ll lead the coordination of feedback and clarification with suppliers, ensuring all contract modifications are clearly communicated and tracked. You’ll also manage the flow of information between disciplines, ensuring that all design inputs and outputs are aligned and integrated effectively.

From overseeing risk and opportunity management to supporting site activities and delivery timelines, your work will be central to the success of the electrical systems contract. You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, where your leadership will help drive progress and maintain the highest standards of engineering excellence.

Who You Are

You bring a degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification, along with hands-on experience in electrical distribution systems and reviewing technical documentation. Why Join Us?

For more than 60 years, nuclear power stations in the UK have been quietly keeping Britain fuelled with massive amounts of home-grown energy.

Our teams up and down the country are proudly continuing to serve the nation – but they also have an eye on the future.

EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C and plans for a new power station at Sizewell C in Suffolk.

Nuclear power is the most reliable, low-carbon energy source currently available to the UK. EDF is playing a key role in the development of nuclear sites, while Hinkley Point C will provide low-carbon electricity to meet 7% of the UK demand. The project is already making a positive impact on the local and national economy as well as boosting skills and education.

We’re not just building new nuclear power stations. We’re developing careers, upskilling generations and creating thousands of employment and apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of skills areas.

It takes a special kind of person to work in the nuclear energy industry and although we have thousands of them there’s always a need for more.

Our industry has a mind-boggling range of opportunities and more jobs, and in more places, than you might think. But it’s also an industry which is changing.

We’re a responsible business and proud to be Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity. With size, age and experience, we believe we can do even more.
