Location: Aztec West, Bristol (hybrid working)
Salary: c. £54,000 (grade B)

The Opportunity
As a Decommissioning Specialist, you’ll help deliver the technical insight and assurance that underpin EDF’s decommissioning strategy. Your work will support key safety cases, guide critical decisions, and contribute to our journey towards An Electric Britain.
This is a hybrid role based at Aztec West in #Bristol, with flexibility to balance office and home working.
You’ll gain experience across technical documentation, regulatory engagement, and complex nuclear liabilities. With opportunities to collaborate across engineering, safety, environment and design, this role supports your long‑term growth in a specialist and evolving field.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Decommissioning Specialist who thrives on technical accuracy, collaboration and rigorous problem solving. Are you experienced in:
• Working with legislation, policy and guidance related to decommissioning and radioactive waste management
• Applying decommissioning practices and understanding ALARP
• Working with nuclear safety requirements, engineering processes and design or operations
• Producing safety case material and technical documentation
• Engaging with regulators and external stakeholders
What You’ll Be Doing
• Supporting technical advice on decommissioning and waste management liabilities
• Developing and contributing to decommissioning safety case documentation
• Supporting delivery of technical studies such as hazard analysis and dose assessment
• Co‑authoring decommissioning and waste management plans
• Preparing for and supporting stakeholder reviews and audits
Pay, Benefits and Culture
