The Opportunity


As an HPC Commercial Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the commercial delivery of contracts across one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects. You’ll be the trusted commercial partner for the contracts assigned to you, ensuring the Commercial Management Team has the information, insight and support they need to keep the project moving.


As most of your stakeholders and portfolio of contracts will be based at Hinkley Point C, the majority of your working week will be spent at this location, however flexibility will be offered to work from home or at other office locations. 


Working in Site Construction for the Transaction and Assurance Team you will be responsible for administration of core service contracts on site. Duties will include tracking contract communication compliance, working with the team to ensure contractor adherence to site documentation, supporting with payment applications and budget management. 


You’ll join a dynamic commercial function at Hinkley Point C, working closely with the Commercial Manager and collaborating across Nuclear New Build. This is a role is based at #HinkleyPointC, with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

We’re looking for an HPC Commercial Assistant who’s collaborative, detail‑driven and confident working in a fast‑paced commercial environment. Do you bring…


A solid working knowledge of contracts, along with experience in estimating, valuations, cost reporting and basic financial modelling.
An understanding of contract performance, risk management, and the processes behind change and claim management.
Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills that help you build credibility at every level.
A degree‑level education or relevant commercial experience with a proven track record in successful contract administration.
Experience working as part of a commercial team, contributing to shared goals and supporting wider project delivery.


What You’ll Be Doing


Supporting the Commercial Management Team and Project Manager, ensuring smooth delivery of all commercial activities.
Assessing contractor applications, preparing valuations and payment certificates, and managing Early Warnings.
Reviewing contractor deliverables, daywork records and progress, including participation in valuation and review meetings.
Monitoring commercial performance, managing contract changes, and producing cost reports, supplier reviews and lessons‑learnt summaries.
Leading final account reviews and reconciliations, and administering key commercial systems such as CEMAR and SAP
