Main Duties:
- Perform MIG/MAG, TIG & MMA welding operations to a radiographic standard.
- Familiarity with the installation and setup of equipment, as well as performing equipment inspections
- Read, understand and perform welding to a qualified WPS
- Determine the job requirements based on drawings and/or other specifications
- Adhere to established welding protocols and safety regulations, including fume control.
- Identify and report potential welding problems for corrective action.
- Comply with established quality control procedures and documentation standards.
- Ability to assess your own welds are compliant to quality standards
Requirements:
• BS EN ISO 9606 Coded Welding Qualification
• Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Welding or Fabrication discipline
• Welding apprenticeship or an equivalent apprenticeship in a Welding discipline
• (Minimum Level 5 in the above if apprenticeship/qualification awarded in Scotland)
• ACE Card in Welding Pipe or Plate
• CCNSG safety passport
