Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Follow Appropriate GE Policies, Procedures and complete necessary documentation
  • Ability to take ownership / responsibility for both quality and safety whilst in the workplace
  • Follow written instructions provided on engineering documents such as weld procedure specifications (WPS) and drawings to ensure quality
  • Experience in large scale Power Station construction / overhauls or other heavy industries
  • Experience in efficiently operating the following equipment including but not limited to the following,
  • Experience in efficiently joining materials including but not limited to the following,
  • Experience in efficiently joining product types plate and pipe of various sizes including but not limited to the following,
  • Comfortable using mechanical cutting tools such as grinders and Tungsten sharpening machines
  • Ability to safely operate and have knowledge of mobile heating torches such as propane
  • Work under strict Foreign Material Exclusion rules


Qualifications/Experience : 

 

  • Level 2 Welding Apprenticeship or an equivalent Apprenticeship in a Welding discipline or Level 2 Diploma in a welding discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Welder in a relevant industry
  • BS EN ISO 9606 Coded Welding Qualifications
  • Possess advanced skills and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of their particular field of specialization
  • Demonstrates individual & team skills
  • Fluent in English language
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
