Key Responsibilities:
- Follow Appropriate GE Policies, Procedures and complete necessary documentation
- Ability to take ownership / responsibility for both quality and safety whilst in the workplace
- Follow written instructions provided on engineering documents such as weld procedure specifications (WPS) and drawings to ensure quality
- Experience in large scale Power Station construction / overhauls or other heavy industries
- Experience in efficiently operating the following equipment including but not limited to the following,
- Experience in efficiently joining materials including but not limited to the following,
- Experience in efficiently joining product types plate and pipe of various sizes including but not limited to the following,
- Comfortable using mechanical cutting tools such as grinders and Tungsten sharpening machines
- Ability to safely operate and have knowledge of mobile heating torches such as propane
- Work under strict Foreign Material Exclusion rules
Qualifications/Experience :
- Level 2 Welding Apprenticeship or an equivalent Apprenticeship in a Welding discipline or Level 2 Diploma in a welding discipline
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Welder in a relevant industry
- BS EN ISO 9606 Coded Welding Qualifications
- Possess advanced skills and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of their particular field of specialization
- Demonstrates individual & team skills
- Fluent in English language
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
