Stores Operative

Main Duties:


To manage all our operations within the engineering stores, managing goods in and materials, stock monitoring & ordering. Assessment of parts movement versus demand.


1.    Liaising with the management team to ensure all stock requirements are met
2.    Issuing tooling to tradesmen as and when required
3.    Collate materials required to fabricate steel pipe supports
4.    Deliver a high standard of administration within the team to reduce stock errors and achieve good stores order accuracy
5.    Managing goods in and out ensuring correct quantity and quality
6.    Actively working alongside the management team implementing and driving improvements
7.    Adherence to all policies and procedures including health and safety rules and regulations
8.    Maintaining housekeeping
9.    Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
10.    Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
11.    Always maintaining a safe working environment
12.    Driving company van. Delivering and collecting goods from suppliers
13.    Assist with the training of others where competency in trade allows.
14.    To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the role.
15.    To be fully aware and comply with Boccard UK Ltd.'s policy on Equality & Diversity. 
16.    Ensuring all electrical equipment is PAT tested.
17.    Ensuring all relevant equipment is calibrated and labelled.
18.    Making sure all welding consumables are stored in the correct environment (Temp/Humidity) to procedure and checked daily by signing a check sheet.
•    Adhere to Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures
•    Report unsafe practices, behaviours and equipment and health, safety, quality and environmental concerns and incidents
•    Support a positive health, safety, quality, environment culture offering improvement suggestions and participating in review of work and practices
•    Endeavour to apply good housekeeping in all areas of work
•    Support and participate in HSEQ improvement initiatives.


Requirements:


Essential


Full UK Driving License
CCNSG or similar H&S accreditation         
FLT certification         
PAT testing certification is desirable
Engineering stores management.
IT skills including the use of windows-based computer software.
Knowledge of basic procurement processes
