At Hinkley Point C we're building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. As a Tier One partner to New Nuclear Build (NNB), we are providing warehousing and transportation services. As Stock and Systems Administrator, you are to support the planning and operations teams for the readiness and compliance of deliveries in and out of the building for system-based actions, routinely auditing and quality checking the team's compliance and accuracy. Cleansing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure all stock is routinely accounted for. 


Job Responsibilities:

•    Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of stock and systems processes across the contract. 
•    Collaborate with the Technical team to monitor equipment maintenance throughout its storage lifecycle, ensuring timely updates and reporting. 
•    Maintain and regularly review documented stock procedures to ensure compliance with Licence Conditions. 
•    Enter pick data into the WMS system, ensuring all entries are accurately recorded and traceable. 
•    Review the Operations team’s handling of inbound and outbound deliveries to confirm accuracy and compliance with procedures. 
•    Achieve departmental targets by delivering on contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 
•    Oversee cycle counting activities, analyse results to identify trends, and recommend corrective actions. 
•    Report system issues promptly in accordance with the operational escalation process. 
•    Ensure alignment between physical stock and system records through effective inventory management. 
•    Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies thoroughly. 
•    Address and resolve customer and ad hoc stock-related queries efficiently. 
•    Ensure departmental operations comply with all relevant company and customer policies and procedures, and support audit and compliance tasks as required 
•    Generate and update reports to support warehouse and customer operation

•    Team Leadership: Manage and develop team members to achieve performance and engagement goals.
•    Workforce Planning: Ensure adequate staffing levels and succession planning.
•    Performance Management: Conduct reviews, set objectives, and address underperformance.
•    Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to improve morale, retention, and wellbeing.
•    Compliance: Ensure adherence to HR policies, employment law, and health & safety standards.
•    Reporting: Provide accurate people metrics and insights to senior leadership.

 

Key skills/Qualifications: 

•    Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with Manhattan WMS is advantageous but not essential. 
•    High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a methodical and precise approach to work. 
•    Confident using computers and numerate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office—particularly Excel. 
•    Previous experience in a warehouse, stock control, or administrative role is beneficial. 
•    Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude 
•    Ability to stay organised and focused in a fast-paced environment 
•    Willingness to learn and contribute to smooth daily operations 
•    A full UK driving licence is desirable.
