Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Main Duties:


•    Plan and coordinate electrical commission activities, ensuring resources, equipment and documentation are in place 
•    Lead and execute commission of either LV, HV and EHV systems in line with safety rules and commissioning instructions 
•    Apply and enforce nuclear, electrical and industrial safety standards through briefings, risk assessments and site oversight 
•    Review and validate commission results, managing deviations and resolving technical issues with designers, suppliers and contractors 
•    Produce and control commission documentation, evidence packs and system handover records.


Requirements:


•    HND or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
•    Proven experience commissioning of either LV, HV or EHV electrical systems in highly regulated environments
•    Hands on experience with electrical testing, energisation, protection relays, interlocks, Uninterruptable Power Supply and direct current systems
•    Strong understanding of electrical safety rules, permits to work and lock out/tag out processes
•    Experience analysing commissioning results and resolving technical or safety critical issues
•    Background producing robust commissioning documentation and evidence for regulatory handover.
