Procurement UK Lead

The Procurement Supply Manager is responsible for working with the client, Project team and onsite delivery team to manage the end-to-end purchase of equipment and subcontractors to achieve the project outcomes. This position is based full time on site Monday to Friday 40 hours a week


Main Duties:


Work within a cross-functional integrated team (Supply chain management, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, HSE and others as required) to purchase all goods and services required to deliver the HPC Project in Somerset a success.
Complete Tender Life Cycle - work with project delivery team to define business requirements, contracts formation, engage supply chain and tender  stakeholders   
Negotiations (define negotiation strategy and drive negotiation results).   
Contract, together with legal team.   
Manage relationship with suppliers to ensure timely accurate delivery of the goods and services for the project   
Manage Priority Delivery Sequence - ability to balance requirements.   
Act as single point of contact for procurement activities   
Lead all procurement engagements and meetings in sufficient time to achieve programme objectives   
Establish overall procurement strategy and strategies for procuring individual packages   
Establish understanding of risks inherent to procurement packages and advise appropriate contract models   
Establish clear budget alignment to procurement packages   
Ensure tendering process is compliant with statutory and business requirements   
Ensure tendering communications are undertaken with traceability and clear configuration control   
Engage client to ensure Subcontract and vendor approval.   
Any other reasonable activities as requested by the line manager


Requirements:


Proven track record in a project role  
Knowledge of procurement systems  
Knowledge of forms of contract - NEC Suite beneficial  
Knowledge of plant, equipment management and purchasing
Senior Client engagement
Change management & continuous improvement  
People management skills
Qualifications demonstrating high level of literacy and numeracy  
Membership of CIPS  
CCNSG or CSCS MAPS
