Location: SEIC. Flexible home and office working supported, minimum 3 days in office.
Salary: Circa £50,000 dependent on experience, plus benefits

Join EDF as a Performance Analyst, and you’ll join one of the most exciting and challenging projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK.
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
As a Performance Analyst, you will provide independent and measured insight into the performance and forecast of the HPC Project. You’ll support timely management intervention and decision making by considering all relevant cross-project information and be working closely with the project teams to identify root causes and understand key drivers of performance issues.
In this role you will work in the Performance Information and Analysis team under the direction and leadership of the Head of Performance Information and Analysis. You will be responsible for leading the Performance Analysists to develop holistic analysis of data from a range of sources to provide insight and recommendation for action by interpreting key data points and trends.
You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that the required reporting and analysis is provided for key customers both through the embedded and core team of analysts as well as analysist from other functions acting as the centre of HPCs Performance Analysis Community of Practice.

What you’ll be doing…
- Leading Performance Analysts in the development of timely Performance Analysis in comparison to the approved Baseline.
- Developing and coaching Performance Analysts focusing in professional and personal development.
- Developing the production of weekly, monthly, and quarterly analysis reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
- Collaborating with other Disciplines of Integrated Project Controls, as well as other Project Teams, to ensure that Reporting requirements are met, and to help deliver Project goals in keeping with the HPC principles of Trust, Transparency and Teamwork.
- Ensuring the Integrated Project Controls Team – particularly the PCMs are supported with provision of timely information and analysis to support the Area Teams.
- Working with the Governance Lead to develop a community of practice for analysis and insight for the project.
- Working with project teams to understand performance variances and work with continuous improvement team to put in place improvement action plans.
- Analysing report data to identify and resolve any issues with data integrity.
- Ensuring that all analysis is accurate, consistent, validated, representative of Project status, and focused on the appropriate stakeholder group.
- Reviewing existing reports to monitor compliance with standards and procedures and make any necessary improvements.
- Ensuring all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked, and protected in accordance with EDF policies and procedures.
Who you are…
Your background may include some of the following:
- Minimum of a degree in a numerate subject, or HND or equivalent qualification with recognised experience commensurate with a degree.
- Proven relevant experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment on at least 1 major, complex project.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Substantial experience in data visualisation and analysis techniques.
- Training in project management methodology, such as PMQ or PRINCE2.
- Relevant experience in a similar analysis role.
- Experience in the use of industry-standard software for other Project Controls Disciplines, such as Primavera P6, EcoSys or ARM.
- Experience in the Nuclear/construction sector.
