Night Shift HSE Advisor - HPC

Main Duties:
• Promote a positive HSE culture throughout all of the HPC related projects, legal entities and the supply chain.
• Contribute to HSE commitments in highlighting and promoting best practice ensuring HSE Management System policies and procedures are
implemented and utilised across all aspects of the HPC project work scopes.
• Monitor and review regular site performance through weekly inspections and audits, including assessments of suitability of Risk Assessments
and Method Statements ensuring company policies and procedures are implemented appropriately, recording any findings, highlighting any areas
for improvements.
• Agree remedial action with site management on any non-conformance and carry out follow up review to ensure the appropriate implementation
has taken place.
• Prepare and deliver reports on project HSE performance targets / KPI's in line with business, client and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Deliver proactive advice and guidance on site to ensure HSE processes are followed and key behaviours are embedded across the project work
packages.
• Identify any relevant HSE related training requirements to ensure compliance on site, prepare, and deliver training as required.
• Manage the application of effective incident preparedness, response, reporting, investigation and follow-up to ensure root causes are established
and appropriate actions are identified and closed out.
• Ensure Emergency Preparedness procedures are implemented effectively and ensure the exercise plan is maintained.
Requirements:
• NEBOSH General Certificate Level 3 or recognised equivalent
• CCNSG (mandatory)
• Extensive experience of working as a HSE Advisor or above on large, high potential risk, Engineering and Construction
projects;
• Expert Knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience of EPC project delivery;
• Detailed understanding of UK HSE Legislation;
• Track record of delivering Auditing / Inspection / Remedial action on non-conformance;
Highly skilled in:
▪ Management System Standards - ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
▪ Behavioural Safety
▪ Incident Management & Investigation
▪ IT Skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel packages)
▪ Nuclear Safety Culture
Role Qualifications
• NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
