Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship

JOB PURPOSE
To deliver efficient and reliable administrative support across the HR functions.
The role ensures accurate processing of employee data, supports recruitment and onboarding activities, maintains
HR systems and records, and assists with the coordination and administration of learning and development
activities. By providing timely information, maintaining effective processes and contributing to a high-quality
customer service, the post supports the smooth and professional operation of the wider HR team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• To provide consistent and effective administration support to the HR team in a variety of HR related matters
including recruitment, general enquiries, processing starters and leavers, filing, updating relevant IT systems,
monitoring course bookings, etc.
• To provide first point of contact support, dealing with general enquiries; on the phone, by email and face-toface for HR, Learning & Development and Payroll queries; providing appropriate advice and support in a timely
manner to ensure an efficient and effective customer care service is delivered.
• To provide administrative support to the Learning and Development team including: pre and post-learning
support for learning events, recording attendance, evaluation, analysing data and reporting as required.
• To use HR systems to process data and provide information to the HR team and employees, ensuring records
are kept up to date and completing routine procedures where required.
• To assist in ensuring administrative processes are recorded, and shared as appropriate within the wider HR.
Entry Requirements:
- Must be able to achieve Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) English and Maths prior to End Point Assessment (EPA).
- Must be aged 16 or over when the apprenticeship begins.
Duration of Apprenticeship: 18 months
Working Hours: 38 hours per week (fixed term, until completion of the apprenticeship)
Starting Salary: National Minimum Wage (depends on the year of the apprenticeship)

You’ll spend time in different departments, supporting and engaging with various parts of the organisation and interacting with internal/external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams, and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.
