Main Duties:
Lead the development and implementation of HSE strategies, policies, programmes and initiatives to reflect current and future requirements and direction of the business.
Lead the monitoring and management of HSE systems, standards and behaviours in line with regulatory and corporate requirements.
Lead the development of HSE audits and management plans to ensure BPT activities are delivered safely and within quality standards.
Drive innovation in HSE across the project, introducing project and company-wide safety initiatives and company to enhance and uplift HSEQ standards.
Lead the development and delivery of quality management and H&S systems, practices and procedures; engaging across the business to drive a relentless focus on HSE behaviours and standards.
Define and lead the implementation of a range of HSE activities to promote and exemplify the behaviours and attitudes for a healthy, safe and quality focussed workforce.
Represent Bilfinger with the client and other stakeholders on all matters relating HSE, providing technical input and assurance at all times.
Engage proactively across leadership and senior managers to consistently promote, demonstrate, and drive a culture of HSEQ.
Develop the HSE function to ensure the structure meets the needs of the business and talent is developed
Recruit, manage and develop the HSE team ensuring effective development processes are in place, performance is managed enabling current and future capabilities requirements to be met.
Role model the relationship building across the team, the wider business and stakeholders to ensure broadest understanding of the business and the commercial environment, enabling Commercial plans and objectives to be delivered.
Requirements:
Degree qualification
IOSH Diploma or equivalent and CMIOSH
Lead Assessor - ISAS or equivalent
CCNSG
Experience of at senior level on a COMAH site or high hazard/regulated industry sector
Proven track record of successful delivery of HSEQ system/process improvements
Experience of leading and managing Safety and Quality teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt and contextualise approach to meet audience requirements
