IMS Officer


SEIC, Bridgwater – Hybrid working available, minimum 2 days a week in the office with potential travel to other sites.

The Opportunity 


As an IMS Officer, you’ll support the IMS & Audit Manager in maintaining and developing the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant regulations, international standards, and internal policies across Nuclear Safety, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, and Security.  


You’ll play a key role in executing internal audits, facilitating external audits, and supporting governance activities such as the Management Review and the Management System Governance Group (MSGG).

What you’ll be doing 


You’ll provide guidance and support on the Integrated Management System (IMS) across the HPC organisation, ensuring alignment with defined requirements and arrangements. You will be responsible for preparing and facilitating IMS Management Reviews, as well as supporting the Management System Governance Group (MSGG) as part of the role — including tracking and closing out actions. 


In addition, the role involves conducting internal IMS audits and helping coordinate third-party audit activities to support regulatory compliance. You’ll participate in relevant screening meetings as required. Throughout all responsibilities, there is an emphasis on promoting a robust nuclear safety culture within the organisation. 


Who you are 


You’ll be highly organised, self-motivated, and confident in communicating with stakeholders, supported by excellent presentation and IT skills. 


We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering quality-related solutions and working independently to plan and manage priorities. Experience working within a multi-cultural environment and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders is essential, particularly within highly regulated sectors. 


Auditing experience across Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, or Security domains will be beneficial along with familiarity with standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001. A relevant ONC/HNC or degree-level qualification is desirable, as is membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
