HR Advisor - Nuclear New Build (HPC)

Key objectives

 

  • You will support the provision of balanced and pragmatic HR advice across all Altrad businesses operating within the Nuclear New Build Business Unit, ensuring alignment with company and project policies, legislation, and best practices.
  • You will assist in deploying new HR initiatives, processes, and policies as determined by the company or client, engaging with managers and supervisors to ensure successful integration and ongoing compliance.
  • Additionally, you will maintain relevant project records and ensure timely, accurate, and GDPR-compliant resolution of both internal and external employee data requests, utilizing company stakeholders as needed.

 

 

Main activities

 

  • As the first point of contact for day-to-day HR enquiries from managers, staff, and supervisors, you will play a key role in developing working practices that meet company and project requirements.
  • You will liaise with project stakeholders to ensure workforce data updates are accurately reflected in company systems.
  • Part of your role involves coaching and developing managers and supervisors in HR responsibilities and company processes.
  • You will provide end-to-end case management support for all HR-related matters, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance issues, performance management, redundancy, and personal development reviews.
  • Complex enquiries and situations will be directed to the Business Unit HR Lead.
  • Additionally, you will undertake HR project work and research as requested.

 

 

Minimum requirements

 

  • Previous HR Advisor experience.
  • Holder of, or willing to work towards appropriate CIPD status.
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis if not local to Bridgwater.

  • In addition to a high attention to detail and strong Microsoft Office and admin skills, the role requires an ability to:
  • Interact with and support a diverse workforce and wide range of client, project and company stakeholders.
  • Manage own workload and prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines and SLA's.
  • Demonstrate appropriate judgement in the escalation of risk.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality.
