As a Field Engineer, you will be the eyes on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards through detailed surveillance, reporting, and coordination. This position offers a unique chance to build foundational experience within a major project environment, supporting critical activities such as pipework, tank/vessel, steelwork, HVAC, turbine/generator, and equipment installations-all while working with a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team. Your meticulous attention to detail, confident communication, and knowledge of industry standards will make you an essential part of our project's success.


Required Skills:


General knowledge of activities including pipework, tank/vessel, steelwork erection, HVAC, turbine/generator, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers installation
Experience with alignment checks, torque control, joint integrity, FME procedures, QA/QC, and punchlist inspections
Proficiency in computer software such as Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and PowerPoint
Confident communication skills, with the ability to challenge and report effectively
Knowledge of specifications such as BTS, BST, ISO 9001, GQAS, NCRs, and ITPs


Nice to Have Skills:


Experience in record-keeping and reporting for construction quality assurance
Familiarity with project surveillance meetings and contractor coordination
Additional certifications or formal qualifications in mechanical engineering preferred but not essential


Preferred Education and Experience:


Mechanical qualifications (HND, diploma, or equivalent) are advantageous but not mandatory
Approximately 5 years of experience in a similar field surveillance or technical role
Hands-on experience preferred; candidates seeking a primarily observational role will thrive


Other Requirements:


Must be comfortable working 75% on-site at industrial sites and 25% in the office
Willingness to undertake occasional documentation reviews and specifications checks
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
