Join our dynamic team as a Construction Delivery Lead and play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale, complex construction projects at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, coordinate, and oversee construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence while working in a high-stakes, high-security environment. Your leadership will be critical in driving project excellence from mobilization through completion, making a tangible impact on one of the most prominent energy infrastructure projects.

 

Required Skills: 
 

Proven experience managing large, complex construction projects with a focus on civil, mechanical, or electrical disciplines  
Strong understanding of CDM regulations and safety standards, NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH qualifications preferred  
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise reports  
Capable of leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders effectively  
Demonstrable experience in strategic planning, construction sequencing, and resource management  
Solid understanding of commercial principles affecting construction operations  
Motivational leadership, with the ability to energize teams and foster trust.


Nice to Have Skills:  


Prior experience operating within a high-security or nuclear environment  
Familiarity with the use of project management tools such as Teamcenter, SWITCH, and relevant surveillance or assurance platforms  
Experience in mobilizing contractor partners and managing significant site set-up and coordination


Preferred Education and Experience:  


Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or Construction  
Extensive track record delivering major construction projects, ideally within regulated or high-security sectors  
NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH certifications are highly desirable


Other Requirements:  


Willingness to undertake site-based, often demanding, work and travel as required  
Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight schedules  
Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
