Completions Engineer - Area Lead

We have a new requirement for an experienced Completions Engineer to join us on the MEH Alliance in the capacity of Completions Area Lead on the Hinkley Point C construction project.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as Area Lead for all completions activities covering all disciplines
  • Ensure all Completions activities are executed in line with relevant specifications. 
  • Ensure all access strategies have been developed for the relevant Completions tasks and materials/plant are available to support the works
  • Ensure reviews are being carried out and reports are available
  • Ensure engagementof construction building Managers/Area leads
  • Ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements, supporting provision of as built surveys and Lifetime Records.
  • Accountable for Integrated delivery performance to the Completion Manager
  • Work with a multi-discipline team of construction operatives
  • Ensure all Completions activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with Vendor/manufacturer's instructions
  • Provide input for progress reporting on all Construction Completion activities
  • Manage multi-discipline walkdowns
  • Manage the closure of punchlist items

 

 

 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  •  Relevant engineering qualification 
  • Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering, Quality)
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)
  • IOSH Managing safely
  • A proven track record in a Completions related role on large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector.
  • Ideally experienced in delivering and operating at a management level
  • Experienced in using software systems for Completion's activities and punchlist management
  • Multi-discipline understanding is essential
  • Commissioning system and sub-system appreciation leading to handover in a safe and controlled manner
