About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
Role Purpose
The Off-site Material Coordinator Will Support the Material to Site Function by driving and aiding the material reparation and configuration of all outbound material to site, based on the installation plan. They will ensure traceability and accuracy of material dispatched against the asset tracking system/s and LTQRs and will escalate any issues where materials required additional work to allow dispatch to site.
What you'll be doing
- Carry a positive HS&E outlook, while representing and promoting a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole
- construction life cycle of the project.
- Attend coordination meetings that cover and include procurement/expediting and warehouse inventory for all MEH Alliance Materials.
- Coordination and communication of materials between material package managers, warehouse teams and construction teams.
- Accumulate data from a 16 week lookahead to support the scheduling of deliveries and installation material per the specified material category and / or construction area.
- Aid the and provide data input to provide detailed visual aids and tables to support forecasted material data.
- Assist with cataloguing identification, Issuing of material and data input the asset management system (AS9) (against the 16WLA)
- Collaborating with other departments within the organisation, such as planning, Engineering, Logistics, and the Site Wide Teams, to ensure smooth operations and efficient movement, storage, care, and integration of construction materials.
- Feedback and report to the Materials preparation and Configuration
- Manager on any potential improvements on process, HS&E and the reporting structure where shortfalls may lie.
Who we're looking for
- Relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role.
- Strong administrative, quality and asset management skills are necessary to coordinate material management and strengthen the end-to-end material process flow.
- Practical experience in warehouse, equipment and asset management is highly valued. Previous experience in warehouse operations and supply chain/material management at large scale is essential.
