The Opportunity
As an Auditor (Workforce), you will work closely with key individuals across the Employment Affairs Unit (EAU), fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and Tier 1 contractors. Your role will involve managing the EAU audit arrangements to ensure internal compliance, specifically in line with Licence Condition 9 and Principal Contractor requirements. You will provide timely reports demonstrating compliance with internal policies, ensuring that the contractor workforce meets the necessary qualifications and competence standards.
Pay, Benefits & Culture
The salary associated with this role is £54,000per annum. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will drive compliance requirements set out in the Competence and Qualifications (C&Q) matrices across the HPC project, ensuring a competent workforce. You will design, implement, and manage the EAU audit schedules, ensuring transparency and adherence to our requirements by Tier 1 Contract Partners and their supply chain. Your responsibilities will include assessing and confirming that the contractor workforce holds the correct qualifications and competence for all assigned roles.
You will manage and maintain monthly reporting requirements, including analysis of workforce role information and conducting specific audits. Leading compliance audits with contractors, you will ensure adherence to the Employer’s Industrial Relations, Employment and Skills Strategy, and provide comprehensive reports and feedback to demonstrate assurance. Additionally, you will manage all audit requests to CEMAR, liaise with NNB’s Project Managers for Tier 1 Contracts, and support the Governance & Compliance Lead, Operations Manager, and Head of Employment Affairs Unit.
Who You Are
- You are someone who can prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines with quick response times, managing customer expectations effectively. Your advanced Excel knowledge, including the use of formulas, and excellent presentation and report writing skills are essential. You’ll possess strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate, challenge, and influence across all levels of the business and supply chain, developing strong relationships.
- You thrive under pressure, are a confident decision-maker, and have a proactive style to ensure business continuity and resilience. Your experience includes developing and implementing successful audit programmes within a complex business model, working within significant projects, and undertaking audits from multiple stakeholders. You have demonstrable experience working successfully in multidisciplinary teams and adapting flexibly within a dynamic environment.
- Desirable qualifications include experience within the UK regulatory environment, knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements, and familiarity with systems and schemes to validate competencies and qualifications.
