Main Duties:


Lead and promote a strong health and safety culture across your allocated area.
Support the Deputy Head of HSE in delivering Alliance HSE objectives and standards.
Manage and develop a team of HSE Advisors.
Provide expert guidance and support to construction teams throughout planning and delivery.
Monitor performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead audits, investigations, reporting and assurance activities.
Ensure HSE data, KPIs, lessons learned and performance indicators are effectively managed and communicated.
Champion the HPC Way and contribute to the wider integrated HSESS team.


Essential Qualifications:


Chartered IOSH Member or working towards Chartership
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)


Essential Experience & Skills:


Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations
Experience communicating HSE standards and expectations across diverse teams
Experience working with regulators, including hosting and presenting during site visits
Proven experience leading and managing HSE teams
Experienced auditor with strong assurance and compliance knowledge
Ability to obtain security clearance


Desirable


Experience in a similar HSE leadership role within construction, engineering or the nuclear sector
Understanding of Nuclear Site Licence Conditions
Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Scaffolding and Coatings activities
Level 3 Award in Education & Training (PTLLS) or willingness to obtain
Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail
