Position Overview:


We are seeking a Breakdown Coordinator to oversee and manage repairs and maintenance for our extensive fleet of heavy plant equipment. This is a pivotal office-based role within our fast-paced Plant Hire division, located at our Kesgrave HQ. You'll be the first point of contact for coordinating breakdowns, liaising with customers, operators, engineers, and third-party suppliers to deliver efficient and effective solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate equipment breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Communicate with customers, operators, engineers, and third-party suppliers, including manufacturers.
  • Provide prompt and practical solutions in a reactive, high-pressure environment.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and updates throughout the repair process.


Requirements:

 

  • Industry Experience: Hands-on knowledge of construction or heavy plant equipment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills (phone, email, in-person).
  • IT Proficiency: Comfortable using digital systems to manage workloads and documentation.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understanding of workshop operations and equipment logistics.
  • At least 1 year of UK-based experience in a relevant role.
