Opportunity for a 3D Machine Control Engineer working with Tru7 on the Sizewell C Project,


Main Duties:

 

  • Operate and manage 3D machine control systems on heavy plant equipment.
  • Ensure accurate setup, calibration, and performance of machine control systems.
  • Work closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure precision in earthworks.
  • Train and support operators in using 3D machine control systems.
  • Maintain and update software and hardware as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Report on system performance and troubleshooting issues.


Qualifications/Experience:

 

  • Degree or certification in Surveying, Engineering, or related field.


Requirements:

 

  • Experience in 3D machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction and earthworks processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills for training and support.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple sites.


Non-Essential Exp:

 

  • Experience with multiple machine control systems.
  • Convert and upload design files into machine control software.
  • Assist with 3D model creation for machine control applications.
