Our nuclear new build projects

Sizewell C

We aim to build a new power station with two UK-EPR reactors
located on land next to the current Sizewell B station in Suffolk.
Sizewell C will be a near identical copy of Hinkley Point C,
which will make it cheaper to build and finance and cost
competitive with other low-carbon technologies.

Hinkley Point C

Hinkley Point C, currently under construction in Somerset, is the first nuclear power station to be built in the UK for more than 20 years. It will have the capacity to generate safe, reliable, low-carbon electricity; enough to power around 6 million homes over an anticipated lifespan of 60 years.

Find Your Role at HPC

We have launched a new bespoke digital application which will help job seekers find a role on the HPC project.

With hundreds of roles available, we appreciate that some people might feel overwhelmed by the diverse range of jobs available at HPC, so the app has been designed to provide users with a clear overview of the types of roles available at HPC.

It is aimed at people who already have a chosen occupation and those who are looking for some inspiration.

Users will be provided with the opportunity to explore more about the project and will be invited to explore four main job sectors – Site Operations, Civil Construction, Mechanical & Electrical and Support before they undertake the questionnaire.

The app is a web-based questionnaire that captures an individual’s work preferences, skills and experience. It only takes a couple of minutes to complete and leads the user through a series of short and quick answer questions before it recommends job roles based on the responses given.
