Job Responsibilities

 

· Oversee the construction of a 132kV/11kV Substation, including drainage systems, foundations, structural steelwork, and general building work.

· Manage the 132kV Cable Route works, including duct laying, cable pulling, and jointing.

· Supervise and coordinate site activities to ensure the timely and accurate completion of works.

· Conduct site surveys and setting out for all aspects of the project.

· Ensure all works comply with design specifications, health and safety standards, and quality control procedures.

· Collaborate with the wider project team, including engineers, subcontractors, and clients, to resolve technical issues and keep the project on track.

· Prepare and review site documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, and daily progress reports.

· Support weekend working and night shifts as required by the project schedule.

 


Qualifications

 

· HNC/HND/Degree in relevant discipline and/or relevant Site Experience with the Utilities / Construction Industry

· CSCS card

 


Experience

 

· Proven experience as a Site Engineer on complex civil engineering and electrical infrastructure projects.

· Experience with substation construction, drainage, foundations, and structural steelwork.

· Strong knowledge of 132kV Cable Routes, including duct laying, cable pulling, and jointing.

· Ability to interpret design drawings and specifications accurately.

· Experience with site setting out and surveying.

· Familiarity with health, safety, and quality regulations.
