A welding supervisor is responsible for overseeing welding operations and ensuring that all welding activities are performed safely and efficiently. They coordinate with welders, engineers, and other team members to plan and execute welding projects, ensuring that all work meets quality standards and project specifications. Their duties include inspecting welding equipment, monitoring welding processes, and conducting quality control checks to ensure the integrity of welds. Welding supervisors also manage schedules, allocate resources, and provide training to welding staff to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Overall, they play a vital role in maintaining the quality and safety of welding operations within an organization. 


Here's What You'll Need  

 

  • Excellent performance management of multi discipline team. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Lead by example in areas of quality and health & safety. 
  • Prioritisation and time management skills. 
  • Ability to manage workflow: Assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities, and creating team schedules.


Qualifications/Experience : 

 

  • An equivalent Apprenticeship in a Welding discipline.              
  • Welding Engineering Construction Plate. 
  • LATS -  SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safety.
  • Proven experience as supervisor. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Experience of budget management.
