Tanker Supervisor

Wessex Water / Turnbull 

Hinkley Point C 

 

 

 

As the Tanker Supervisor you will be working within a busy, fast paced work environment coordinating the company's tanker service for wet waste movements and also the coordination of potable water deliveries to various locations on site, via a direct team and external contractors. You will be required to communicate incidents, abnormalities, customer and operational needs and changes.

 

Your duties will include:
-    Maintaining various reports, financial, waste volumes etc
-    Day to day running of the tanker schedule 
-    Controlling of Waste Transfer Notes 
-    Coordinating with external contractors 
-    Coordinating with other tier 1 contractors on site 
-    Ensuring the team are complying with H&S and to a high standard 
-    Reviewing and creating Risks Assessments and Method Statements

 

Required qualifications and experiences: 

  • It would be highly beneficial to hold a valid clean LGV category C licence, a drivers CPC a, but the knowledge of British Domestic Drivers Hours Regulations is important.
  • Pervious supervisory/management experience is needed as you will be in charge of a small team of tanker drivers.
  • Excellent IT Skills, Excel and Word.

 

Firstly, we are looking for someone who loves outdoor working, practical and is an effective communicator. 

If you have previous experience of operating within an outdoor or a practical manual handling role, then that would be welcomed. 

 

Any previous experience of operating on sewerage networks or other waste operative roles would be desirable however not essential. Likewise, if you have experience of working on highways this would be beneficial. 

 

A conscientious and committed approach will ensure you continually provide a high-quality service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and exceeding performance targets. 

 

Financial report writing/processing experience is required for completing the various reports on a daily basis.
