Opportunity for a Scaffolding Coordinator working with ENKA UK on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Main Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the production and regular review of the scaffolding plan, broken down into agreed areas, to forecast the manpower and material needs of the Project. This includes coordinating with other departments like engineering, safety, construction teams and other Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors to align the scaffolding setup with project needs.
  • Preparation, review, tracking, and editing of the Temporary work files, Rams, and Procedures related to scaffolding works, if needed.
  • Establishing the system for the correct running and recording of the Scaffold Request System and the Scaffold Inspection Procedure.
  • Ensure that the scaffolding team follows the industry best practices to comply with the requirements of this procedure in the safest manner possible.
  • Responsible for the overall planning and prioritising of the works onsite for the scaffolding team, including the allocation of the available manpower and material resources to most effectively serve the access requirements of the project.
  • Monitor the team's progress to ensure efficient and safe scaffolding erection.
  • Responsible for attending all coordination meetings and interfacing with the Discipline Supervisors, Superintendents and other Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors to ensure that the scaffold team is fully aware of both the short-term and long-term priorities of the Project.
  • Ensures material is inspected for conformance with purchase documents.
  • Shall ensure that a "zero harm" approach is taken in relation to all his acts and omissions in relation to the services and the project. Acknowledges that due to the nature of the project, nuclear safety and security are of paramount importance.
  • Agrees to comply with any rule, instruction or requirement of the Company in relation to the services which the company determines, in his sole and absolute discretion, is necessary in order for the company to comply with his obligations under the nuclear site license.
  • Housekeeping of the work areas, collection, segregation, and disposal of wastes as required, removal of unused materials, and clearing the work floors to eliminate/reduce slipping or tripping risks in your work area.
  • Safe use, protection, storage and care of general maintenance products, hand and power tools


You must: 

 

  • Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do); 
  • Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare; 
  • Follow the training you have received when using any work items your employer has given you.


Qualifications/Experience : 

 

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in large scale, international - industrial projects in scaffolding systems.
  • Have a bachelor degree.
  • Hold CISRS Advanced Card 
  • Enrollment onto ILM Level 3 Award C&BE (completion within 6 months of start date) or CMI Level 3 or Completion of Nuclear Unit or Nuclear Engineering Construction Supervisor (NECS) + LATS or SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely card.
  • CITB Temporary Works Coordinator certificate
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS)
  • Hold or Can achieve CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Shall able to pass Safety Critical Medical test.
