The Opportunity

 

As the Project Manager (PM), you will be responsible for delivering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities throughout the contract or work package life cycle, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule. The PM oversees planning and execution, maintaining safety, quality, time, and cost standards.


Pay, benefits and culture


Alongside a salary between £62,000 to £65,000, depending on experience and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • As a Project Manager, you will assist in securing resources to meet project needs, ensuring SQEP for assigned resources, and addressing personnel issues. You will support the Senior Project Manager in developing strategies aligned with the programme execution plan (PEP) and manage the work effectively.
  • Your responsibilities include maintaining communication with stakeholders, driving safe, on-time delivery within budget, and tracking progress against milestones. You will identify risks, manage issues, update the programme budget, and escalate challenges. Collaborating with the Senior Project Manager, you will help maintain schedules, capture lessons learned, adopt best practices, and ensure contract requirements are met, escalating any issues as necessary.


Who you are

 

As a Project Manager, you will demonstrate leadership in complex projects, knowledge of CDM Regulations, and proficiency in estimating, scheduling, risk management, and Earned Value Management. Strong presentation and facilitation skills are essential, along with understanding nuclear quality assurance. Experience in EPCM projects, contract execution, procurement, cost control, risk management, and stakeholder engagement in regulated environments is required.
