Planning & Reporting Lead Engineer

Opportunity for a Planning & Reporting Lead Engineer to work with ENKA UK on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Main Duties : 

 

  • Carry out the overall planning, progress tracking and reporting of the assigned project
  • Revisions of baseline schedule if and as required.
  • Updating and maintenance of project schedule.
  • Using Primavera, monitor progress throughout all activities comparing actual to projected schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with the project stakeholders to keep the project baseline schedule up to date.  Schedule all activities associated with assigned projects to produce an integrated critical path schedule, update as required, and report potential problems/problem areas.
  • Integrate schedule requirements and constraints to establish work sequences for all disciplines or specialties. Review and assess the work sequences with the developed and agreed project plan.
  • Determine fabrication priorities and trends by assessing erection priorities. Analyze fabrication reports and direct in case any deviation from planned.
  • Coordinate and contribute preparation of site execution level detailed micro schedules.
  • Assist construction and material handling teams for rightly sequencing of material deliveries as per installation/erection activities.
  • Provide necessary schedule/planning input to construction execution plans, and Risk Assessment Method Statements.
  • Keep all databases required for schedule, progress and commodity curves up-to-date with latest drawings.
  • Resource load schedules and maintain a Primavera based earned value system on projects.
  • Maintain progress tracking system for the assigned project, calculate and report earned progress monthly for progress based payments.
  • Analyze schedule deviations, changes, acceleration requests, and provide impact assessments to commercial team.
  • Ensure that the distribution of direct hours follows the principle of Rules of Credit.
  • Co-ordinate the forecast direct manpower required based on remaining hours as per the PCP.
  • Perform project controls studies with participation of cost control discipline in order to calculate KPI's regarding the schedule and cost. Participate project forecast studies by assessing the KPIs and project actuals.
  • Ensure that installed quantity curves for key commodities are prepared and tracked at the required frequency in line with the planned durations.
  • Direct the transition from Area based to System based planning & scheduling in line with detailed system-based handover of the work.
  • Ensure that the progress can be tracked by area/ system at the appropriate stage in construction.
  • Collect input from each functional group as appropriate, update, maintain and issue daily, weekly, monthly reports
  • Derive and update 3 weeks and 90 days look-ahead schedules for weekly and monthly reports.
  • Housekeeping of the work areas; collection, segregation and disposal of wastes as required; removal of unused materials and clear the work floors to eliminate/reduce slipping or tripping risks in your work area.
  • Safe use, protection, storage and care of general maintenance products, hand and power tools


Qualifications/Experience : 

 

  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Awareness of project management and contract management basics
  • Representation skills as the contact person of ENKA in his/her duties.
  • Advance in Primavera P6 and MS Office
  • Experience in Industrial Plant Projects (especially pipe works) is an asset
  • Knowledge of 3D Modeling Software such as Navisworks is preferable
  • Have bachelor`s degree in any discipline of engineering
