The mechanical supervisor will oversee the installation of mechanical components. They ensure that all operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards. This role involves coordinating with engineers, technicians, and other team members to plan and execute projects efficiently. Mechanical supervisors also manage schedules, allocate resources, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operations. Their responsibilities include Safely setting to work, ensuring the correct documentation is in place this will include but not be limited to; writing and applying for permit to work, RAMS and POWA, conducting inspections, maintaining records, and providing training to staff to ensure optimal performance and safety. Overall, they play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of mechanical systems within an organization.
Here's What You'll Need
- Excellent performance management of multi discipline team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Lead by example in areas of quality and health & safety.
- Prioritisation and time management skills.
- Ability to manage workflow: Assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities, and creating team schedules.
Qualifications/Experience :
- Level 3 Apprenticeship or Ace Card as Mechanical Fitter.
- LATS - SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safety.
- Ability to manage workflow: Assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities, and creating team schedules.
- Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Proven experience as supervisor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience of budget management.
