Job Description and main duties

 

  • Undertaking land/topographic and engineering surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology, such as robotics and 3D scanners
  • Setting out
  • Analysing data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD, Civils3D, Leica Survey Software.
  • Preparing survey drawings
  • Presenting data to clients and writing reports
  • Advising about technical matters

 

*The job combines working in an office and working on sites.

 

Experience

 

  • Specialist land surveying
  • Infrastructure
  • Civil engineering and construction companies (contractors and consultants)
  • Rail
  • Mining
  • Utilities

 

Qualifications and training required

 

  • Degree in Geomatics /Engineering Surveying (Desirable but not essential)
  • ICES/RICS (Desirable but not essential)
  • Technical Qualifications (NVQ/HNC etc)
