In this role your remit will include;

  • Manage register of live cases – investigations, grievances etc. 
  • Ensure that cases are managed on a timely basis in line with HPC Common Framework Agreement 
  • Support managers in investigations – note-taking, ensuring process is followed 
  • Liaise with MEHJV parent companies as required 
  • Support MEH Local Joint Council, acting as note-taker 
  • Liaise with HPC recognised Trade Union Convenors as required 
  • Support IR Manager in project work 
  • Provide support to ER / IR activities to help meet business needs. 
  • Advise and coach managers to effectively manage employee relations issues in line with HPC Common Framework Agreement 
  • Provide monthly metrics on number of cases, stages etc. 
  • Flag to IR Manager & Head of HR risk of timescales not being met 
  • Support ER/IR change initiatives and projects 

 

It would be beneficial if you had the qualifications/experience in the below:

  • Previous HR/IR experience essential 
  • CIPD Level 3 or Level 3 CertRP or working towards 
  • Excellent MS office skills – particularly MS Excel 
  • Strong administrative skills 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Excellent communicator 
  • Previous experience in a Trade Union/construction environment advantageous 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all matters, displaying appropriate judgement and initiative when required
