Health & Safety Lead

Job Resaponsibilities: 

•    Implement and promote Changing Gear 
•    Protect all Dalkia staff, NNB and 3rd parties who may be affected by our activities.
•    Provide clear unequivocal HSE leadership across all Dalkia operations.
•    Advise the HPC Dalkia Operations Director and Nuclear sector Director on all HSES matters.
•    Create, maintain associated HSE Policies, management systems relating to the Dalkia scope.
•    Recruit, develop and retain the core Dalkia HSES team including, Fire & Emergency Preparedness, Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental and Sustainability Managers
•    Develop implement and maintain proactive and reactive monitoring systems to ensure effectiveness of the Dalkia HSES policy and systems.
•    Ensure all worksites have a robust "hazard" identification and clear "Risk Assessments" in place that detail effective control measures.
•    Devise & implement a positive HSES culture across all operations.
•    Ensure learning from experience and continuous business improvement is adopted throughout Dalkia operations.
•    Accountable for reporting all incidents and accidents.
•    Manage the HSES team and all deliverables.
•    Client, JV & external 3rd party relationships
•    Establish effective 'downward' communication systems and management structures.
•    Ensure integration of good HSE management with business decisions
•    Engage the workforce in the promotion and achievement of safe and healthy conditions.
•    Effective 'upward' communication
•    Provide high quality training based on a risk managed approach.

 

 

Required Qualifications: 

•    An industry recognized qualification such as the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent
•    Experience of maintaining or reaching externally audited management standards such as ISO45001
•    Credible experience in health and safety, including operations experience.
•    Experience of managing workplace well-being would be advantageous.
•    Confident in engaging and managing stakeholders.
•    Excellent organisation skills and able to manage a broad portfolio of activities.
•    A track record of project management
•    Positive can-do attitude with a customer service focus.

 

Required Experiences: 

•    Experienced in delivering and operating at a Leadership Level
•    Able to build professional working relationships with the team members, sub-contractors, and clients.
•    Communication: Clearly communicates ideas, plans and priorities to others.  Makes communication a priority so there are no surprises.  
•    Operational Excellence:  Plans and organizes work to safely achieve maximum efficiency and output.  Delivers results consistently.
