Construction Delivery Manager

The Construction Delivery Manager supports activities in the field relating to the construction of a designated section of the works and its on site facilitation.  It includes day to day on site supervision and direction of the works to safely and efficiently deliver the project.


Role Responsibilties:

  • Support the contract partners in their delivery of the works packages to enable efficient delivery of the of their sections works.
  • Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/ or quality concerns. Follow up by taking appropriate and proportionate action (e.g. issue communications, call meetings) to avoid the halt of works.
  • Monitor works on site and input into the construction daily report to ensure information is reported up through the organisation
  • Proactively communicate with other site teams (H&S, contract, project controls, logistics) and Construction Delivery Managers to maintain good communication links, and ensure activity is well and timely reported.
  • Ensure clear, two-way communication with the Area Construction Delivery manager so that all activity and issues are directed appropriately



Experiences and Qualifications:


  • Experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery plans and resource allocation
  • Good understanding of the post holder's obligations under CDM Regulations
  • Working knowledge in the delivery of projects
  • Be able to write informative, concise and meaningful reports
  • Motivate and energise contract partners by building a climate of trust and understanding and actively seeking alternative views and opinions.
  • Possess excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience
  • Collaborate with other managers to effectively manage operations of the site
  • Adopt a results-focussed mind set, using initiative wherever possible and taking personal responsibility and accountability to ensure necessary action is taken to deliver excellence, value and quality.


  • Experience of operating in a high security environment advantageous
  • Experience within the Nuclear environment is advantageous but can be off-set by experience within Civil Engineering or Construction
  • Knowledge of French can be an advantage

Terms and Conditions:

  • 33 days accrued holiday pay including 8 bank holidays
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Weekly pay
  • 40 Hours per week
  • 12 Month Contract
