Principal Accountabilities

Working within the Asset Management team under the site Construction Directorate, the Asset Management Engineer will be part of an expanding multidisciplinary team of maintenance professionals. 

A key requirement of this role is to ensure that all plant and equipment supplied and installed at HPC enters service in the best possible condition to support future safe commercial operation.


The role will suit an ambitious individual who's willing to contribute their knowledge and skills to a developing team whilst growing their own experience in one of the nations key infrastructure projects.

•    Maintain the asset management system to support maintenance activities including but not limited to specifying and scheduling activities. 
•    Ensure maintenance arrangements support compliance with regulatory, company policies and industry best practice. 
•    Represent Site Asset Management at internal and external committees, working groups, forums and meetings 
•    Schedule and conduct asset reviews, report on performance and monitor action close out and improvement status.
•    Promote the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency for maintenance throughout the site.
•    Execute Care and Maintenance activities.
•    Provide governance of maintenance activities to ensure they are conducted to the required standards and expectations.
•    Champions continuous improvement by identifying and reporting events, areas for improvement and good practices to enhance performance.



Qualifications & Experience:

•    HNC / Degree in engineering related subject or equivalent.
•    Detailed knowledge of an Asset Management tool (Passport/Orbit/asv9 etc) 
•    Demonstrable Engineering / Maintenance experience.
•    Strong communication skills in English required, knowledge of French can be an advantage.
•    Experience of working in heavy Industry and Nuclear experience would be advantageous.
•    Experience of working alongside contract teams and able to provide challenge and guidance where required. 
•    Experience of developing and implementing Care and Maintenance arrangements


•    Knowledge of maintenance practices applied in large engineering organisations across the mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines.
•    Understanding and practical experience of specifying work packages including risk assessments & method statements.
•    Commercial awareness including knowledge of common forms of contract e.g. NEC, FIDIC would be advantageous.
•    Knowledge of engineering regulations and standards in your field of expertise.
•    A working understanding of the ISO 5500 standard would be advantageous
