Compliance Administrator, Hinkley Point C, Competitive Salary & Benefits


EDF Energy have an exciting new opportunity available for a Compliance Administrator to join our team at Hinckley Point C based in Bridgwater. At HPC we're building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low-carbon electricity for around six million homes.

We are offering an opportunity to be a part of the system administration team working on the Hinkley Point C projects. You will administer the compliance and GDPR requirements and carry out compliance checks on system user accounts, reporting directly to the Systems Administration Manager.

Your day to day duties include:


  • Facilitate any GDPR requests on behalf of the business and provide detailed reports.
  • Performing basic system user maintenance as and when required.
  • Being an organisation learning champion, you will participate in meetings and assigning learning tasks to other members of the Document Management Team.
  • Responsible for the management of system user data to ensure the correct process are followed for any new members of staff, leavers or movers across the business.

The Person

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail with significant experience working in an administration based role. You will ensure GDPR requests are dealt with efficiently and manage new members of staff, movers and leavers account compliance activities.

As a Compliance Administrator you will:


  • Represent the system administration team in meetings.
  • Provide practical and technical mentoring and support to the business.
  • Interface with the business to ensure compliance to system access procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits on the business to ensure compliance with access requirements.Champion best practice Document Management across the Document Management Team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in Project Services Team's performance, processes, and procedures.

The Skills

The successful candidate will have the key skills and experience required:


  • Experience with GDPR requirements is preferred.
  • You will have a strong awareness of effective record keeping.
  • High level of competence in the use of Microsoft Office suite, in particular, Excel.
  • Ability to identify, suggest and implement process improvements within the systems.
  • Administration function and to the larger document management and project delivery teams.
  • Experience of working in a project environment, delivering against set objectives and milestones.
  • Awareness of the importance of document, data, and/or information management in a large-scale capital project.
  • Ability to influence and promote the overall role that information technology provides on a project and the importance of successfully managing interfaces.
