Opportunity for a GPS Installation Engineer (Sizewell C) working with Tru 7 on the Sizewell C Project,


As a key member of Tru7Group's expanding Contracts Division, you will be responsible for the field-based installation, commissioning, and support of aftermarket Machine Control (MC) and Machine Guidance (MG) systems. Covering East Anglia and surrounding regions, you'll report into our head office while delivering hands-on technical solutions directly to our customers.


In this customer-facing role, you'll ensure every installation meets the highest standards, while providing exceptional aftercare and technical training. Your ability to communicate clearly and confidently will be crucial, as you'll act as the link between clients, internal teams, and the sales function-offering both support and technical expertise on the latest machine control technologies.


Main Duties:


Install aftermarket MC/MG systems on client sites:
Respond promptly to installation requests
Ensure accurate and professional installation
Complete and submit all post-installation documentation
Support site localisation and base station setup as required
Deliver training for customers and Tru7Group personnel on the use of MC/MG systems
Provide technical support at the point of sale where required
Maintain accurate records of all activities within the CRM system, including installation logs, asset tracking, and support tickets
Liaise with internal departments to support and promote Tru7Group's technology offering


Qualifications/Experience:


Hands-on experience with aftermarket GPS machine systems
Familiarity with CRM systems
Working knowledge of Trimble, Leica, and Topcon machine control solutions
Understanding of GNSS and GPS systems in earthworks or civil engineering applications
Experience working with heavy plant and machinery
Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage a field-based workload
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Technical aptitude with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
